There are energy fields which can be contacted & there are special persons who are born with a more acute development of certain faculties, often accompanied by an inferior development of some other faculties. There are some that are able to become more conscious or more aware than the average individual, but that this doesn't mean either magic, sorcery, or the presence of some extraordinary mystical element exists as a permanent or characteristic trait.

The average human being, dedicating his resources to the perpetuation of a ‘static’ self is in a state of psychic tension, has little (if any) opportunity to unfold resources of exceptional ability & special distinctions, of which are naturally his.

When we think of the extra sensory perception such as telepathy we use general terms which perhaps are not sufficiently precise to indicate the large variety of phenomena.

Astral configurations in astrology represent for Jung an example of synchronicity, of a parallel, non-causal relationships between the development of celestial phenomena & those marked by terrestrial time.
